Very long-lasting with a supreme capacity self-regeneration as it forms rhizomes (characteristic of Poa pratensis). The variety of Poa pratensis used in the mix has guaranteed 0/0 grade seed purity (sod quality). It creates a very dense, even lawn. Dark, glossy green color no matter the season.
It features cultivars selected for their trampling tolerance and tear resistance with playing. Variety with enhanced resistance to fungal diseases, particularly Rust (Puccinia graminis) and Summer Patch.
Besides sports pitches, this seed mix is also ideal for producing sod. Its biomass production is very limited compared to Lolium perenne (a genetic trait of Poa pratensis), allowing for less mowing and, as a consequence, it does not produce thatch.
The RUNNING SEED MIX features varieties that are resistant to the most common fungal diseases.
The lineages used for our RUNNING SEED MIX are found to have good resistance to rust (Puccinia graminis) and excellent resistance to Summer Patch – higher than other varieties of Poa pratensis (data from NTEP 2010 and 2013 reports).
