    BUDGIES

A small, long-tailed parrot originally from the vast grasslands of Northern Australian. They were brought to England in the early 19th century where they were domesticated and, being a hardy species, they are ideal for aspiring bird-keepers. Selective breeding in captivity has led to a larger sized subspecies called English Budgies.
